I am 4’11 tall and the dresses still look great as a Petite woman. Affordable retro dresses for Petites
1920s Fringe dress
There is nothing more iconic about 1920s style than a great fringe dress like that from The Great Gatsby! Firstly, I did not put huge expectations on the beige dress. However, when I got the beige fringe dress, I fell in love.
The dress is so unique and would be the conversation starter for sure. Not only that, the dress is great quality for the price- very heavy, and the fringes are stunning. The dress would be great for summer parties as well as a Christmas or New Year’s Eve outfit.
1930s Rose red and white mermaid dress
In the 1930s mermaid silhouette came in and took over the fringes! The mermaid dress is very flattering for any body type and I did not expect it to look as good as it does! I wanted a Spanish inspired summer dress and it is just like that!
The dress has only one layer and light-weighted fabric. However, as I mentioned before, it still looks amazing. The slit and ruffles are very flattering for short women visually lengthening your legs.
1950s yellow swing dress
The 1950s dress is known for its tea-length swing design- great for dancing all night long. I saw a gorgeous iconic polka dot dress on the webpage. However, I saw the beautiful yellow Bella-inspired dress and had to order this one.
Yellow is a very daring colour because yellow suits only tanned and darker skin tones. However, this dress looks good on pale skin as well. Therefore, I suggest it to any Petite woman. Because the heart neckline design is very flattering for me and any short woman. Now I want more dresses with this neckline. Especially beautiful for women with bigger busts.
1970s sequin feather dress
Last but not least, the sparkly sequin and feather-trimmed pink mini dress. The dress gives me the Sabrina Carpenter vibes- who is a fellow short woman as well. I wish it would cinch me in more- maybe needed to order a smaller size. I would probably wear a shapewear underneath!
However, the dress itself is stunning and will make all the heads turn around looking at you! Usually, strapless dresses look bad on me or do not stay on but this one does. This is the perfect dress for a birthday party or bachelorette.
