Why am I launching a Petite magazine?

I am not sure if it is inspired by Sex and the city that I am binge-watching or something else. However, I wanted to write a diary type of blog post about me launching the first-ever Petite fashion magazine in digital format!

If this is your first time on my blog or any of my platforms, Yes, I am launching the first-ever Petite magazine. I did not want to give you a launch date, and then let you down, but it will be the first part of 2022. Therefore, subscribe to my blog right now to not miss the launch date, and then when you are done, come back to continue reading my motives and why am I launching a Petite magazine.

Petite as a kid and teenager

Petite fashion blogs and bloggers 2022. Why am I launching a Petite magazine?

When you are a kid or teenager and look somehow different from the “normal” it is always complicated. Your biggest insecurities will be picked out by other kids and then laugh at for years! When I was a kid and teenager my height and weight were one of them. I started to wear heels very early only because of my insecurities about being short which created even more reasons to laugh about me. That lasted until university where I did not care anymore. I feel like in university everyone is so different and looks different and just the whole vibe is so much better!

However, when I was around 14-16, shopping for clothing was the most difficult. Not only was impossible to find good-fitting jeans. Salespersons added to it being like- oh you will grow out soon. The thing is they usually thought I am still 10 or less! They did not know I am not growing anywhere anymore!

The fun part starts only now! So I grow up, I am filled with confidence and I do not care about what others think. I have many good friends who do not care about it either. However, then comes weekends, parties, and clubs! The first embarrassment comes when we- Petites need to buy alcohol and you are asked for ID- every single time. Not only that, they cannot hold back their judgy, surprised facial expressions for when they see the year I was born!

The embarrassment does not end there! It only gets worse when I cannot leave the house without my ID on me and I need to present it in each bar and club to enter! Lucky for me, there was a time that every security guy in clubs knew me around the town because I was going out so often and if I forgot the ID they let me in any way!

Then I moved to Spain and started my blog…

The first ever style magazine for short women. Why am I launching a Petite magazine?

More than three years ago I moved to Spain- Spain is different as they usually say it here. However, this time in the best way. Girls in Spain are usually smaller- I feel like a fish in the tank! Did you know that most women around the world are Petites and we are still discriminated against? However, facts later and more in the Petites Mag! Now let’s talk about how in Spain they barely ask your ID in supermarkets- they see in your face if you are drinking age or not!

Being in Spain without a job finally made me go after my dreams and start my blog- this time seriously! For these last years, I have been jumping between different topics while everyone talks about a niche. Find your niche, niche down, you need your niche to succeed, and so on! I started as a beauty blogger. I think because of beauty Youtubers which were so trendy back in the day- everyone was talking about makeup! When I started, I did not think that I could talk about other topics. However, after a while, I realized fashion is closer to my heart. I love styling and even in the most difficult times, everyone is still going to wear clothes.

Fashion it is!

Fashion inspired and it started a new journey where I discovered new ways to blog. I learned more about photography and other tips and tricks I needed. However, fashion is not a niche! Fashion is a category but it is still too wide to let yourself be discovered in the world! Then 2021 came and here everything goes in the fog. I do not remember exactly how the Petite idea came to mind. I remember that I wrote my first blog post about problems that Petites experienced (read here). After that, I knew I want to help people, give them life hacks and advice. I wanted to write something meaningful, something that has not been made yet.

My followers on Instagram know that I started to poll them and talk about other topics. However, when I dived deep into the subject, I realized I still need to learn about the topic. I wanted to do the magazine great, do the full research while still having my experience and opinion on the topic. Other themes I had ideas about, I knew I still need to learn and grow. However, I am petite that have always been into clothing and fashion (even if there were years I dressed horribly).

Why am I launching a Petite magazine?

Why am I launching a Petite magazine?

Petites need their place in the world and fashion corner for inspiration. A bible to gain all the information and tips they need. Short women need their place where they are understood. Where everything is made exclusively for them and their body type. Do you agree with me or do you agree? More about the reasons and ideas I will be mentioning in the future. Also in the Youtube video that I am filming and is live on my Youtube channel.
