What to wear to Barcelona and why?

The red midi dress for Petites

Instagrammable spots in Barcelona Spain wearing red dress

I wore the dress with a black Guess belt from Best Secret and flats from Vivaia fashion. Red or Fuschia pink looks fantastic on stone Sagrada Familia and other brown architecture. I would suggest some red or pink in your luggage to Barcelona to pop out!

Tan brown midi skirt from Must Have skirts

What to wear in Barcelona?

SHOP THE MIDI SKIRT!

I styled the skirt with a white t-shirt from Amazon and Tommy Hilfiger sneakers. When I travel I make sure that I wear something cute while still being comfortable. I knew I want a t-shirt and skirt moment. Therefore, I went for the beautiful slit midi skirt from Must Have skirt. The last time I looked, they still have the skirt in many different colors, and the quality of the skirt is amazing. However, the skirt comes with a long sleeve cropped top, which for Autumn and Wintertime looks great together. In the end, Tommy Hilfiger sneakers were not the most comfortable. Therefore, I suggest bringing with you a few comfortable pairs of sneakers.

Blue outfit for the win!

Fashion looks to wear in Barcelona for influencers

The blue-cropped ruffle top from Springfield for Park Guell. I styled the top with jeans from Springfield, and white sneakers that I bought in Barcelona from Laura Azana. I told you that Tommy Hilfiger sneakers started to hurt my feet, and that is how I hunted down the comfortable white sneakers from the Laura Azana brand.

Blue is always great for white and blue scenery, such as Park Guell or Casa Batllo.

Park in front of Sagrada Familia

The best photo spots in Barcelona

Facts and information about Sagrada Familia.

We needed to buy tickets on our phones, it was fast and easy. However, therefore I would suggest buying them before you go if you plan (like a night before). I suggest going with the first group of people because you will avoid crowds and get the best photos.

Sagrada Familia is planning to be finished soon- in 2026. Do you think that they will finish it so fast?

The mozaic bench in Park Guell

Facts and information about Park Guell

If I would suggest one place to pay for it would be Park Guell. The entrance was only 10 EUR, and you can spend hours just walking around, having some drink, taking photos or having a picnic. The park is big and has the best view over Barcelona (I suggest you go for the sunset).

Terrace of Hotel Amrey Sant Pau

Best views to Barcelona

We were happy to get the best room in hotel Amrey Sant Pau! The room was on the last floor, with an impressive terrace, and could see the modern part of Barcelona and the top of Sagrada Familia.

Cathedral of Barcelona

What to see in Barcelona?

The Cathedral of Barcelona starts in the gothic district and the center of Barcelona. Therefore, the cathedral itself is in the gothic style. If you are into gothic as much as I am, you need to take a look. Petite travels to Barcelona to see big things!

For more edgy photos, go to bunkers in Barcelona

What to do in Barcelona?

On our last day, we went to the bunkers of Barcelona (MUHBA Turo de la Rovira). It was a long climb up the mountain, but, in the end, the view again was spectacular. However, even though for the views I would suggest going during sunset. For taking photos may be the best time would be the morning again. The place is very popular amongst teenagers to go there party and have some drinks.

Casa Mila rooftop

Gaudi art and architecture in Barcelona

I would suggest going either in the morning to avoid crowds or a little bit before the dark to take the best photos.

Facts and information about Casa Mila or La Pedrera

We bought the entrance ticket on the spot, it was around 22 EUR. I only knew that it had a very beautiful rooftop but had no idea that the whole house is a museum of Gaudi and the people of that time and how they lived. Therefore, in the end, you learn a lot for the price. Talking about the rooftop a lot of beautiful spots to take photos.

Where to shop in Barcelona?

Where to shop in Barcelona?

Paseo de Gràcia. Famous places for luxury stores such as Chanel, Gucci, and more. However, you will also find stores such as Mango, H&M, and more. Petite travels to Barcelona not only to travel but to shop.

Avenida Diagonal. Avenue filled with shopping centres filled with different stores. The place to shop for your souvenirs.

Gothic district. A lot of antiques and bookstores.

When is the best time to go to Barcelona?

The best is to visit during working days if possible and not on weekends. Also, make sure they do not have any holidays as in Spain there are a lot!

I suggest April or May when the weather gets warmer, but it is still not the tourist season.

Transport

Transport system and metro in Barcelona

The best way to travel around Barcelona is by metro. Buy metro tickets of 10x in any metro station! They are valid for at least two months, as far as I know.

How to get to the Airport?

Get from or to Airport by R2 line (if you went from another city to Barcelona by AVE, you get a free ticket from ticket machines).

Where to eat in Barcelona?

Sagradas Tapas!

Where to eat in Barcelona? Tapas in Barcelona. Petite travels to Barcelona

Tapas in the best location (near Sagrada), for an affordable price and the best quality and quantity! I suggest ordering shrimps or gambas ajillo; chicken, and little squids (or puntillitas).

Arrosseria l’Arros

Where to eat lunch in Barcelona?

Petite travels to Barcelona and eats a lot! Go to the restaurant for a good lunch. The restaurant offers a 15 EUR menu that includes three meals (starter, main, and dessert). Water is in the price. We ordered fideua, croquetas and some fish (all of it was spectacular). The restaurant is close to the port area on the way to the beach.

Marcelino 1968

Affordable restaurants in Barcelona. Petite travels to Barcelona

Restaurant with a little bit more of a lux but again the quantity and quality were enough! They did not have a lot of choice due to Covid, but somehow we got what we needed. As a starter, some bread with tomato and croquetas. I ordered some salads with cheese, and my mom had Fish and chips.

Where to stay in Barcelona?

Where to stay in Barcelona? Petite travels to Barcelona

Hotel Amrey Saint Pau. The best location is if you go to Barcelona to see Gaudi architecture. We got lucky with the room on the last floor with a spectacular view. The price was not bad for what we got (I think it was around 300 EUR for three nights with breakfast).

Book the Saint Pau hotel on booking.com
